“Jack was disappointed when his meet and greet guy failed to appear.”
Jack is a 9-month-old rescue dog who is hoping to find someone who would open their heart and home to him for the rest of his life.
But, just as it appeared that his time had finally arrived, Jack’s aspirations were shattered.
Peaches Bully Rescue in Ohio took in Jack, an American bulldog, as a special needs foster. He has spina bifida, which hampers his motor abilities, and he needs to wear a diaper to avoid accidents. Jack, on the other hand, is a healthy and happy puppy.
The one thing he really wants is a family of his own, and he had reason to believe he could have found one recently.
A possible adoptive recently contacted us to express their want to meet Jack in person. So his rescuers set up a meeting time and location for them, allowing Jack to put his best foot forward.
However, the unimaginable occurred on the day of Jack’s big date. The individual never arrived.
“He had a wash, a fancy harness, a fresh diaper, and a committed foster team that travelled 40 minutes each way only to end in severe disappointment,” rescuers wrote, adding that “Jack was extremely disappointed when his meet and greet person was a no-show, no-call.”
The unfortunate dog had been abandoned.
Jack, who had been rejected, needed to be cheered up.
After hearing about what had happened, a friend decided to purchase him a new toy, which Jack liked — not realizing at the time that it would be the first of many.
As word of Jack getting dumped on his big date circulated online, more and more presents and goodies began to arrive from fans all around the world.
The best part was that, along with the loving gestures for the bereft Jack, a flood of individuals hoped to fulfill that possible adopter’s broken promise.
“The tremendous love and networking that this community has done for Jack and our team has been very touching,” Peaches Bully Rescue stated. “We’ve had over 600 enquiries and 200 adoption applications, which we’re now reviewing.”
Things are looking up for Jack once more.
All of Jack’s applications are presently being processed, and the rescuers expect to schedule additional meet-and-greets with adopters in the coming weeks. His expectations for finding the ideal partner have never been higher.
Peaches Bully Rescue stated, “Who thought our little Jack Jack would be so well loved and we could be so blessed?” “We aim to introduce Jack to families as soon as possible, and we’ll keep you updated as we locate his relatives in the coming weeks. Thank you everyone for your help, and please continue to assist the rescue effort.”
