She was not going to let him depart without her ❤️️
Basil Akwan may be seen working on his laptop in a small café in Kuwait most days. He and his girlfriend liked the commotion of being outside, and they weren’t the only ones.
Two stray cat sisters took advantage of the café’s comfortable seats for snoozing and an awning to keep them out of the sun and rain.
It didn’t take the kittens long to figure out that fellow regulars Akwan and his girlfriend were slackers when it came to giving out food.
“We used to see them together all the time — even on rainy days, they always waited in the same area for us to come,” Akwan told The Dodo. “They’d creep up on the table looking for food and affection.”
Sophie, one of the stray dogs, developed a strong attachment to Akwan and began following him to his car. She was obvious in her want to accompany him home, and she even hopped inside whenever he let it.
Akwan couldn’t bear leaving her behind, so he rescued Sophie, while his girlfriend stole Sophie’s kitten sibling.

Sophie and Akwan are now in perfect harmony four months after Sophie followed him to his car. “She’s a lot of fun,” Akwan added. “I always purchase her toys, and the nicest thing is that she’s gotten used to my routines, like napping.”
Sophie is now the last thing Akwan sees before going to bed and the first thing he sees when he wakes up. While he saved her, Akwan is grateful every day that Sophie picked him as her father.
“It’s such a fulfilling relationship,” she says “Akwan remarked. “It’s precious to have such unconditional affection, and knowing that I can return to this tiny fluff every day makes my days better.”
