“Forget the people we talked to earlier. I want to get to know this dog.”
Reporter Bob Barnard found himself in the middle of some beautiful breaking news while reporting on weather conditions for Fox 5 Washington DC during an on-the-ground segment.
It was the arrival of a very cheerful small puppy, which had come unexpectedly.
She instantly became the center of attention.
Barnard was a few minutes into the live show when the puppy appeared out of nowhere and ran toward him. The intrepid reporter abruptly stopped what he was talking about and gave his full attention to the adorable little dog.
“Forget about the people we met before,” Bernard said. “I’d like to learn more about this dog.”
As you can see, the feelings were definitely reciprocal:
Bernard didn’t have to look long to figure out where the puppy had come from; her owner, who happened to live in the house Bernard was standing in front of, came out to claim her pet. The puppy had allegedly broken through a gate, which her owner had no idea about.
The little puppy was quickly returned to her rightful place. Regardless of the inclement weather, that brief break undoubtedly brightened everyone’s day.
