After a long time of pregnancy rumors, the couple Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli announced that they expect their first child in January 2021. They announced with a tweet, “And then, we were three! Arriving Jan 2021.”

The picture features the smiling faces of the couple, Anushka standing next to Virat Kohli with her baby bump. As she shared the good news, the film industry celebrities commented with best wishes for them. Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, and Dia Mirza came forward with heart emojis. Parineeti wrote, “Congratss stunners.”

Kiara Advani, Taapsee Pannu, Pooja Hegde, and Sanya Malhotra also poured congratulation wishes to them. While from the sports community, many of them wished them, including Sania Mirza and KL Rahul.

Virat made the news public to his fans on Twitter and Instagram, sharing the joy of becoming parents. Anushka is seen with a black and white polka dot dress standing next to her husband.

Anushka and Virat, aka Virushka, both tied the holy knot of marriage in December 2017, and now after over two years of it, they are not ready to welcome a new member in the family. Right now, for playing in the IPL 2020, Virat is under quarantine in UAE.

Rumors were all over the fans and the film industry about Anushka’s pregnancy for a long time. She responded to the whole world last year by saying, “Yeah. If you’re married, then people ask, is she pregnant? They love to read into something when there really isn’t anything,” as per the report of the Times of India.

Aanand L Rai’s Zero was the last production in which we have seen Anushka; after this, she becomes one of the producers for popular Amazon Prime Video show Paatal Lok and Netflix’s Bulbbul.

The couple has spent quality family time during the lockdown due to coronavirus since March 2020. Anushka shared photos and videos on social media showing how she did the hair cut for Virat, baked cake, played hours with the pet dog. According to the sources, they were in their Alibaug bungalow during the lockdown.

Every dark cloud had a silver lining. And this time, while it may seem like the worst time and in so many ways it actually is, has also forcefully made us all stop and deal with things we might have been running away from because either we were ‘busy’ or it was convenient to say we were 'busy'. If this time is respected for what it is, it will enable more light to shine through. This time has also made us all realise what's truly important. For me just having food, water and a roof over my head and the good health of my family seems MOST important. Everything else is a bonus that I bow my head in gratitude for. But, that which we call 'basic' is not so basic for everyone after looking at all the people who struggle for just those few things. My prayers with them and their families. May everyone be safe and secure. This time has surely made me more reflective. This need to stay at home with your loved ones has been forced upon the entire world but there is a deep lesson for us all. There is a lesson to strive for work and life balance ( I've valued and strived for this dearly for many years now ), there is a lesson to devote more time in things that actually matter. Today, when I'm surrounded by all the blessings in my life, I just want to tell everyone how much compassion I feel for everyone who I see suffer. I want to help as many possible in the best of my abilities. I feel pride in our resilience to be better human beings. I can instinctively feel this in and around me. We will all have our individual and subjective lessons from this time and hopefully, such lessons will continuously stay with us all.
