The strongest force on Earth is the bond between a mother and her offspring. Animals and their young have a very particular affinity. The beautiful clip below depicts this special bond between a mother and her child.
Even though gorillas are very gregarious animals, the relationship between mothers and their kids is always unique. With the way she connected with her new baby — only seconds after birth – this Western Lowland gorilla won everyone’s heart. Calaya, a 15-year-old Smithsonian National Zoo inhabitant in Washington, D.C., was set to give birth for the first time in a decade, which was a wonderful event for everyone there.
Because the Western Lowland gorilla is a severely endangered species, the occasion was all the more memorable. The touching scenario between the mother and her newborn baby, however, drew everyone’s attention. Calaya grabbed her lovely little one into her arms shortly after birth and began showering him with loves and embraces.
When it comes to sentiments, animals are no different than humans, as shown in this poignant scenario. Calaya simply wanted to ensure that her new kid knows how much she loves him from the minute he enters the world. The zoo recorded the sweet moment on camera and uploaded it online! Have a look:
