We’ve recently shown you a variety of cat-tastic designs that show that modern cat furniture doesn’t have to be ugly. Furniture for our feline companions is becoming more popular, as seen by cat-sized cardboard landmarks, tetris cat towers, and even a new brand of IKEA pet furniture. This super-chic line by Japan’s Okawa Kagu is one of the newest pet-friendly designs to capture our notice.
The new “craftsman MADE” campaign aims to revitalize Japan’s once-thriving craft sector in the Fukuoka prefecture region. Okawa Kagu, which is home to 150 furniture-making enterprises, came up with the concept of combining the internet’s passion for cats with the abilities of local artisans. The new manufacturing downsized previous full-scale designs to create high-quality smaller copies that would please even the pickiest of felines.
Hiromatsu Furniture developed and created a pine wood couch, while Tateno Mokuzai designed and produced a dark wood cat bed for the collection.
The items are on display at Okawa Terrazza, an information center that focuses on local design. Each product may be purchased directly from the maker.
Okawa Kagu, a Japanese company, has launched a new “craftsman MADE” range of high-end cat furniture.
The collection was created by downsizing existing patterns to fit elegant felines purrfectly.
Take a look at how these style-conscious felines are enjoying the collection.
