A man from Kansas has been accused of killing his sons and abducting his daughters. According to People, 40-year-old Donny Jackson is held responsible for the death of his sons, Logan Jackson, 14, and Austin Jackson, 12, and kidnapping his daughters, 7-year-old Nora Jackson, and 3-year-old Aven Jackson.

The harrowing incident came to light on 24 October, 2020, after the authorities received an emergency call from a resident in the 14900 block of Hillside Road, Leavenworth. On arriving at the location, the officials discovered the lifeless bodies of the two boys, as per the Facebook post by the Kansas Bureau of Investigation.

According to KETV, the bodies of the boys were initially found by a family member who visited the house after one of the boys failed to show up for a soccer game. The family member also noticed that the two sisters were missing. Immediately, the police were informed. Soon after reaching the homicide scene, the authorities identified the father as the suspect and issued an AMBER alert for the missing girls.

“The suspect in the abduction and incident is the father, Donny Jackson. Donny is a 40-year-old white male, 5 ft. 11 in. tall and 190 lbs. He has brown hair and blue eyes. Jackson is expected to be traveling in a Black 2008 Honda Accord with KS tag 266 MXB,” stated the police in a statement.

Hours later, the father’s car was stopped by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol near Ericka after a truck driver spotted his car and alerted the police. Subsequently, he was taken into custody. The two missing girls were found in his vehicle and were returned to their mother, Tara.

However, Jackson has not officially been charged as investigators are working with the local prosecutor to determine the appropriate charges that should be pressed on him in relation to the deaths and abduction. He might also face federal charges for crossing state borders. As per a report by People, he is now in custody in Oklahoma and is expected to appear in court on November 2, 2020.

GoFundMe page was started for the family to help them with the funeral expenses of the boys. “Tara is now faced with the overwhelming task of paying for a funeral for her two sons. She will also face many other unknowns in the future. Nora and Aven were reunited with Tara after a multi-state amber alert, will undoubtedly need help to get through this tragic event as well. Please help Tara in any way you can,” stated the page. About $50,410 has been raised so far to aid the family in need.
