This wonderful dog named Gaspar went away from an illness lately in the warm company of people who loved him the most, after a happy life full with joy and devotion.
“I appreciate all of the hours we spent together… “You will always remain with us,” Gaspar’s owner, Marcelo Rodrguez, said in a homage to his dog.
The most heartfelt tribute to that cherished pooch, though, required no words at all.
Despite the fact that Gaspar lived with Rodrguez, he spent many of his happiest days with Kaya, Rodrguez’s mother’s dog.
Rodrguez told The Dodo, “We would bring them together on weekends to spend time together.” “That was the beginning of their friendship.”
The camaraderie between Gaspar and Kaya was clear in their never-ending flurry of wagging tails. But it was evident that their love was far deeper.
Unfortunately, like with all wonderful things, Gaspar and Kaya’s time together would come to an end.
Gaspar passed away earlier this month following a battle with renal disease. Kaya was given the opportunity to say her goodbyes to her old buddy before his body was placed to rest in Rodrguez’s backyard, knowing how much he meant to her.
But no one could have predicted what came next.
Kaya sat on the new pile of earth that would be Gaspar’s ultimate resting place, a final gesture of love for a soul she treasured so deeply.
“She spent the entire morning on top of his grave,” Rodrguez explained.
Although Gaspar is no longer with us, his spirit lives on in Kaya’s heart. Though not just in hers.
Kaya’s love deed for Gaspar rapidly went viral after Rodrguez uploaded it on Twitter, earning over 100,000 likes and retweets. Many commentators expressed their sadness after learning of the dog’s wonderful parting gesture.
Kaya had a quiet time at Gaspar’s burial, but it was one that she will never forget.
“Animals are superior entities that humans can never understand and that we do not deserve,” Rodrguez stated.
