It’s always a bit of a gamble when you buy clothes online.
It also takes a very brave soul to buy something as important as a wedding dress from the internet.
And unfortunately for one bride-to-be, that gamble did not pay off.
Meaghan Taylor said she was “blown away” when she received her delivery – but not in a good way.
The $100 (£60) dress from Wish was supposed to be an elegant lace ball gown with a V-shaped neckline.
Instead, the garment turned out to be incredibly ill-fitting and even rode up her body when she tried it on.
Meaghan shared a photo of herself in the dress on Facebook along with the caption: “My face tells exactly how I’m feeling.”
“It looked nothing like the photo when I ordered it,” Taylor told the Daily Star.
“I was pretty heartbroken, but I couldn’t help but laugh.”
Meaghan also had to fight to get a refund – with the seller telling her the dress had to be returned in its original packaging.
But the bride-to-be had thrown the box out – and demanded the refund as the dress had “ruined” her wedding.
Meaghan is now on a mission to find a new dress before the big day next summer.
