Phoenix and Shalaco, a plant-loving couple who use spice shakers to scatter native wildflower seeds over San Francisco while costumed as bees, were highlighted by 60 Second Docs. The couple’s goal is to boost the number of native bees and butterflies while also beautifying city streets and making gardening more accessible to everyone.
We’re all for democratizing gardening and making it more accessible to the general public. You don’t even need a yard; just a shaker and some seeds would suffice. We’re only attempting to restore the land to its former state and provide vegetation that the local environment need.
