The zoo keepers working there were able to submit their application for collecting money to buy a snow day for their polar bears thanks to the San Diego Zoo’s wish list.
Following the publication of the offer, around 100 people donated $5,100 to support the animals. As a consequence, around 26 tons of gleaming white snow were delivered to the bears’ habitat.
Polar Bear Plunge was coated with snow one beautiful morning, making the animals’ habitat sparkle and white. The bears Kalluk, Tatqiq, and Chinook couldn’t stop themselves from rolling around in the snow.
They’d been tumbled and somersaulted all morning, spreading out on the snow like pancakes at moments and burrowing into the snow at other times.
Some of the bears even managed to slide on the snow a little.
The bears kept playfully wrestling with each other, sharing their joy and excitement.
Others tried to taste the snow.
Donors, zookeepers, and other visitors were able to observe the bears’ delight and were as delighted as they were.
