Just in time, a small life was saved.
One small stray puppy didn’t last long out in the elements alone, cold, hungry, and tired. Fortunately for her, a kind stranger came across her and saved her life.
An animal hero in every sense of the word.
Goran Marinkovic, a Serbian animal advocate, works diligently to care for stray animals in his town. Out of the kindness of his heart, he actively feeds over 100 stray animals. When he discovered the small puppy in March, he knew he had to do everything he could to make her life better.
The puppy, who was only a few days old, was sleeping in an old shoe.
When Goran discovered the dog, he snapped photographs of her. The photographs depict her living situation and the terrible circumstances in which she was barely surviving. “I heard weeping coming from the rocks as I passed down a tiny path…she was cold, hungry, and thirsty.” I was hungry, so I gave her salami right immediately.” — Goran explained to The Dodo
The little puppy is given a name.
Coco was Goran’s name for the adorable puppy. When he first saw her, he searched the area for her mother or siblings, but Coco was alone. She did her best to survive on her own, but she was more than willing to take assistance from the kind human. “She was drained. She laid down and resigned to fate, knowing that I could be her only hope.” – Goran explained to The Dodo.
Coco is going to have a ‘life makeover,’ according to Goran.
Goran made up his mind to attempt to save the adorable puppy as soon as he spotted her. He handed her some salami from his pocket, which she enthusiastically devoured.
Coco’s forever home is being sought.
The next step was to find Coco a loving home. Coco was a really sociable small puppy with a nice and joyful demeanor, which Goran recognized immediately away. She was terrific with humans and would make a wonderful family pet.
Coco is well-known on the internet.
After sharing Coco’s tale on social media, Goran was charged with reducing down the number of people who wanted to adopt her. Goran found Coco a home in Germany after much research and consideration. He told The Dodo that he continues to check in on Coco to see how she is.
Coco has gone a long way in her life.
Coco has done so well with her new home that it’s difficult to realize she’s the same dog. Coco is a success story that inspires us all, from barely surviving at a young age to being saved by a very kind individual and then adopted by a permanent family.
“Every stray dog I save and place in a loving home is a win for me,” Goran told The Dodo.
Coco is really fortunate that someone cared enough to assist her, and we hope Goran continues to rescue animals in the future.
