The wife of the gentleman in question, Reddit user JustAnotherGoodGuy, told the kitten’s story in a recent thread, accompanied by some truly stunning photos: “The mama kitty bolted. She’d been living in the office parking lot for a few years, but this is the first time she’s been seen with kittens. There were no other kittens discovered. My husband sent me this picture and asked if I could bring it home. Who could say no to that expression?”
The kitten, later named Axel after the car part she was discovered trembling beneath, had been abandoned by her mother, a frequent visitor to the parking lot. It is unknown if she returned to look for the kitten.
Following Axel’s rescue, Mr and Mrs JustAnotherGoodGuy, as they have become known on Reddit, took the kitten to a veterinarian, where they discovered that Axel was four to five weeks old and female. “[She is] clear-eyed and clean now,” the couple declared on their Reddit thread before announcing their decision to keep her.
