After being accidentally donated to a thrift store, a pet was reunited with its owners.
When a family moved, they donated a chair to a thrift store, according to the Denver Animal Shelter.
They had no idea that Montequlla, the household cat, was hidden inside the chair.
The cat was discovered by employees, who phoned Denver Animal Protection to have it picked up. Montequlla was scanned by officers, but the microchip had not been updated.
When the family became aware that she had gone missing, they called the thrift store, which sent them to Denver Animal Protection.
Montequlla was reunited with her family in the end.
Denver Animal Protection wrote on Facebook, “We are very glad for the conclusion to this tale and are thanks to everyone involved in bringing this wonderful kitty home safely.”
