While it takes a lot of time and patience for many wildlife photographers to capture a shot of a wild, elusive animal, one lucky woman in Santa Fe, New Mexico recently awoke to a charming bobcat family who had taken up residence on her doorstep.
You could see a shy bobcat while walking in the New Mexico desert, but what are the chances of being visited by a whole family of these gorgeous felines? Kathy Maniscalco couldn’t believe her eyes when she saw a mother bob cat with her gorgeous kids playing on her doorstep.
When she came face to face with shy wild cats, the lucky woman wanted to leave her residence. She first assumed it was a mother and three pups, but then noticed two more cubs climbing on the porch wood structure. Kathy, a great animal lover, was so ecstatic that she couldn’t even find her phone to take some nice photos with the wild animals.
Kathy was fortunate in that the large family was neither in a rush nor irritated by her presence, so she was able to record them. The lady posted on Facebook, “Bobcat mom with 3 of 5 kittens on our wall.” “Awesome. This might be the subject of a future painting.”
Kathy’s porch served as a dining area for three of the small ones. And, of course, nothing beats a snooze after a substantial supper, which the adorable little animals readily accepted.
