“Forget the people we talked to earlier. I want to get to know this dog.”
While reporting on weather conditions for Fox 5 Washington DC during an on-the-ground broadcast, reporter Bob Barnard found himself in the center of some beautiful breaking news.
It was the unexpected arrival of a cheerful little dog.
And she rapidly took up the limelight.
Barnard was a few minutes into the live show when the dog appeared out of nowhere and ran toward him. The intrepid reporter quickly stopped what he was talking about and devoted his whole attention to the adorable little pooch.
“Forget about the folks we spoke with previously,” Bernard added. “I’m interested in getting to know this dog.”
As you can see, the sentiment was certainly mutual:
Bernard didn’t have to look long to find out where the puppy had come from; her owner, who lived in the house Bernard was standing in front of, emerged to retrieve her pet. The puppy had allegedly burst a gate, which was obviously new to her owner.
The small puppy was quickly returned to her rightful place. Despite the snow, that little break no certainly made everyone’s day a bit happier.
