“He really does have so much love to offer.”
Luke came as a stray at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home almost 200 days ago. The average period it takes for a dog to be adopted at the shelter is 35 days, so Luke has been there for more than five times as long as the typical canine. Luke is a great dog, but he sometimes come across as timid, especially around other dogs. That is most likely why he is taking so long to locate the proper family.
In a news release, Michelle Bevan, a manager at Battersea, stated, “Despite being a massive dog, Luke is actually just a big softie who likes nothing more than cuddling up by a radiator with his favorite humans and a cuddly toy.” “We’re really hoping that someone would adore him for the huge lapdog that he is and give him the chance to be loved as he deserves,” said the family.
Luke’s pals at the shelter decided to give him a Valentine’s Day party in order to help him find a home. They believed that by throwing a party, people would get interested in Luke and inquire about him. They gathered some decorations, prepared Luke, and prayed for the best.
Unfortunately, the scheme failed, and no one showed up for Luke’s party.
Luke may be quiet, but everyone who knows him believes he’ll fit in well with the proper family. All he has to do now is locate them. Despite the fact that no one showed up for his celebration, his shelter pals aren’t giving up hope. They’re going to assist Luke find his forever home in some manner.
Luke is prone to get overwhelmed, so he’s searching for a peaceful home away from busy places where he’ll be the only dog in the house. He has skin problems, so he’ll require a family that knows them and can help him manage them. Aside from that, all this bashful dog wants is to find a family that will understand him.
“Luke may have a few eccentricities, but he truly has so much love to give to the right person,” Bevan added.
