Three abandoned kittens left in a box at the zoo gates are adopted by a resident lynx

A cardboard box had been dropped at the fence of a Siberian family zoo by an unknown individual.

Fortunately, one of the workers noticed it, and upon investigation, they discovered three little kittens inside.

There was a ginger and two tabbies, and they were all in desperate need of food and care.

Domestic animals are not permitted to be housed at the zoo, according to zoo rules. The crew was stumped as to what they could do in this difficult position.

Then they got an idea and decided to give the kittens a new mother, the Lynx who lived in the house.

Lynx has previously been a foster mother, and despite being a wildcat, she is incredibly loving when it comes to caring for kittens.

She rubbed her entire body on the kittens as soon as she noticed them. This was her method of leaving a smell imprint on them.

Her maternal instincts had surfaced, and she began to care for the kittens as if they were her own.

It didn’t take long for the zoo to find owners for this adorable trio and once old enough they will be adopted into their forever homes.
