The strongest force on Earth is the bond between a mother and her offspring. Animals, like humans, are bonded to and dedicated to their offspring. Regardless of the species, the bond between a mother and her child is always exceptional. And the heart-wrenching video below proves it!

Koalas are a gregarious mammal native to Australia. As a result, the only link that exists is between newborns and their mothers. But there’s something remarkable about this bond. Thankfully, the Symbio Wildlife Park in Helensburgh, Australia was able to capture the sweet moment a young koala sees its mother for the first time on video.

The adorable baby joey may be seen gently nestling in its mother’s pouch. At the same time, the adorable creature raises its head and sees its mother for the first time. As the koala mother and her infant stare into one other’s eyes, the next moment is overpowering. They both appear to be overjoyed!!!

“The koala is Australia’s “most iconic animal species,” according to the official World Wide Fund website. “They are readily recognised as a symbol of Australia because of their thick, tailless body, enormous head with round, fluffy ears, and large, spoon-shaped snout.”

However, things do not appear to be going well for these adorable creatures. According to the Australian Koala Foundation, the number of wild koalas has declined considerably in recent years, with less than 80,000 individuals remaining. As a result, they are considered a “functionally extinct” species.
