This delightfully horrifying rendition of a baby crib was designed by Joseph Reginella, a sculptor and toy designer from Staten Island. Inspired by the 1975 horror film Jaws, he depicts a terrifying shark attacking a little boat. In this scenario, the ship is carrying Mark, Reginella’s close friend’s kid. The sculpture was cut out of styrofoam, covered with plastic, then painted in the proper colors by the fabricator. In about a week, he completed it.

Reginella came up with the concept while working on another project. “I thought it would be funny if someone ordered a terrifying bed instead of something mainstream,” he told CNET. “At a shop called Themendous, we made an airplane bed for some little kid in California, and I thought it would be funny if someone ordered a terrifying bed instead of something mainstream.” Reginella felt he had to create it for his boyhood pal when he found out he was having a son. According to reports, the infant enjoys it.

Reginella developed the concept while working on another project. “At a business Themendous, we constructed an airplane bed for some tiny child in California, and I thought it would be humorous if someone ordered a horrifying bed instead of anything conventional,” he told CNET. When Reginella learned that his boyhood buddy was expecting a son, he knew he had to create it for him. According to reports, the infant adores it.
