Birds move to warmer climates in most cases throughout the winter. However, during an ice snowfall near Iraqi Kurdistan, one unlucky goose became caught in the snow and nearly died. Fortunately, a caring bystander intervened just in time to save the cat. The bird was immobile and stretched on the snow when the man first saw it, as if it had already succumbed to the frigid weather. The guy, however, spotted some life in the goose and gently brought it inside, where he began to warm it up with an electric hairdryer.
The caring hero shared a video of the agonizingly long and nerve-wracking procedure of reviving the frozen bird. As he surrounds the goose with warm air, you can watch it slowly begin to move its head and feet as its body heat returns. “The sole purpose of this tape is for each individual who watches it to recognize [their] obligation towards [animals],” the guy says in the video, hoping that his example would inspire others. “My sole purpose is to arouse feelings, sympathy, and compassion in some individuals who harm animals and birds, and to persuade them not to do so.”
The bird is entirely thawed and able to stand and walk on its own after a while—and a lot of warm air. Indeed, the guy states that the creature is “alive and goosing” as a result of his much-needed aid. However, before releasing the wild goose back into its native environment, he feeds it so that it can restore its strength and face the severe winter circumstances once more. Though the video does not show what happened next, one can only hope that the rescued bird made its way to a more favorable environment.
