“It was wonderful to catch this amazing scene on video” 🐨
Volunteers from Australia’s Koala Rescue received a call earlier this week about a little newborn in need of assistance.
Norris, a newborn koala, had dropped off a tree and become separated from his mother.
Norris was seemingly unharmed in the fall, although he did require assistance in getting back to where he belonged.
As a rescuer gathered Norris, the mother koala watched from the tree. They decided to carry the baby up to her because she looked reluctant to go down herself.
But then something unexpected happened.
“While waiting for our tree-climbing team member,” Koala Rescue stated, “our volunteer decided to do something very miraculous.” “She hoisted Norris up for his mother to see him, and she grumbled and grred, and [he] CALLED HIS MOTHER DOWN!!”
Here’s a video of that moment:
The mother koala lowered herself just far enough down the tree for Norris to be placed on her back, and the two were reunited.
“Our very own koala whisperer was able to reconnect this wonderful pair,” Koala Rescue stated. “With years and years of expertise, and having reunited many parents and infants, our very own koala whisperer was able to reunite this precious pair.” “It was fantastic to capture this incredible moment on film.”
