“I jumped out of my skin!”
Claire Trenery was working from home the other day and decided to brew some tea. She made a cup for herself, convinced that she was the only one there.
Trenery noticed something odd about her dining table as she returned from the kitchen, and that’s when she learned she had visitors.
A black cat had entered Trenery’s open patio door and taken up residence in one of her black dining chairs.
Trenery, for the record, does not own a cat.
“She was perfectly still,” Trenery explained. “I only saw her when I set the drink down and saw her eyes, which made me leap out of my skin!”
The cat was unnoticed.
Trenery was taken aback. On the other hand, her unexpected visitor was not.
Trenery observed, “She seemed unconcerned.” “She sat there motionless for a long time.” She did have the appearance of someone expecting a three-course meal.”
The cat gave up waiting after 20 minutes of sitting at the table.
“Then she went on a tour of the house by herself,” Trenery recalled.
Trenery’s unusual cat wasn’t completely unfamiliar. Tinkerbell is her name. She is Trenery’s next-door neighbor. This was, however, the first time she had entered and made herself at home.
“Whenever I see her in the garden, I always say hello,” Trenery remarked. “Because she’s such a character, all the neighbors adore her.”
Tinkerbell’s surprise visit eventually came to an end as she returned to her own house outside. Despite the fact that she initially surprised Trenery, the friendly cat will not be sent away if she visits again.
“Just to calm my anxiety, I’d love some kind of greeting the next time she comes in the house,” Trenery remarked. “However, she is most welcome.”
