An 80-year-Old Man Constructs a Dog Train To Transport Rescued Stray Dogs on Excursions

In Fort Worth, Texas, an elderly man named Eugene Bostick, who is 80 years old, spends his days driving what might be the greatest train ever. Rescued stray dogs are taken on enjoyable journeys in the neighborhood and nearby forests by his makeshift railway.

On a dead-end street where Eugene and his brother Corky reside, many residents bring their unwanted dogs to be abandoned. Eugene started running a makeshift refuge for animals and driving the dogs about in his tractor. “We began feeding these strays, letting them inside, and taking them to the vet to get neutered and spayed. Eugene said to us, “We built a home for dog rescues to reside.

“I saw this guy pulling pebbles with these carts attached to a tractor. That might work well for a dog train, I thought. I used these plastic barrels with holes punched in them, added wheels under them, and tied them together because I’m a very excellent welder,” Eugene explained. They get so delighted whenever I connect the tractor to it because of these cute dogs, guy.

“I started out with my tractor… I’d put 4-5 dogs in there and take them riding”

“Suddenly, a couple more dogs appeared. Oh, that’s not enough room, I thought. That’s when I thought of THAT.

“I’m a pretty good welder, so I took these plastic barrels with holes cut in them, and put wheels under…”

Now, the 80-year-old retiree takes his rescued dogs on a train ride twice a week

“Whenever they hear me hooking the tractor up to it, man, they get so excited”
