Cold temperatures could lead to iguanas falling from trees in parts of Florida

There will be lots of cold this weekend, with a risk of reptiles.

Iguanas may fall this weekend in regions of Florida, particularly Saturday night, according to Channel 9 meteorologist Brian Shields.

Iguanas can slow down or become immobile when temperatures drop below 40 degrees, according to Shields.

The iguanas do not die when they fall from trees.

Temperatures will be in the 50s during the day on Saturday and Sunday, then in the low 30s at night.
