These playful lion cubs tried to test their father’s patience by toying with his tail while he slept in the sun.
The mighty predator let out a deafening scream in an attempt to warn the little ones.
The cheeky little devils, on the other hand, didn’t appear to be put off and continued coming back for more fun with his tail.
He ultimately gave up and traveled somewhere in quest of solitude.
Ingo Gerlach, a 66-year-old German photographer, captured the amusing scene on video in Kenya’s Mara National Reserve.
“There were three mothers and around eight children,” he recalls of the sight. They were around six weeks old at the time.”
“We saw the male lion a little later.” He was the lion family’s lone dormant member. He was dozing at the edge of a thicket, with no inclination to look after the family.”
“At one point, the mischievous lion cubs found their father’s bushy tail. They toyed with it for a few minutes before the father threatened them with his licked fangs.”
“This worked for about five seconds, but then the lion cubs wanted to play with the extremely bushy end of the tail again.”
Despite their father’s constant screaming in annoyance, the cubs continued to play with his fluffy tail for around half an hour.
“However, the kids were obstinate, and they continued to bother their father until he threatened the children.”
“The lion fought for half an hour before fleeing to a neighboring bush. I had a lot of fun with my camera photographing this amusing picture.”
