“What’re you guys doing?”
Luke started recording when he thought he heard his cats playing and making a mess in the kitchen to see if he could capture them in the act. To avoid scaring them away, he entered the kitchen gently before asking, “What are you guys doing?”
As his cats approached, he realised they were actually seated outside the window, gazing into the kitchen, where an Australian possum was attempting to steal some bananas instead of one of his cats.
The abrupt appearance of someone else shocked the possum, who began to run around the room while still holding onto his prized banana but did not yet make any attempts to leave. The cats did absolutely nothing but sit there and observe the possum through the window.

The possum scurried back toward the open window, perhaps where he had entered, before diving back outdoors. The entire situation was frantic and dramatic, at least for Luke and the possum. The kitties were absolutely unaffected by the entire situation from beginning to end.
Evidently, cats are poor choices for guard dogs. Who dared to guess?
