His little heart has never been so full ❤️
This small dog named Osito recently found himself alone in the world. His family had decided they no longer wanted him.
But, happily, Osito didn’t have to be alone for long.
Felicia Quispe Arana chose to take in Osito after learning about his predicament. Arana is the founder of Colitas Sin Techo, a homeless dog sanctuary in Cusco, Peru. She wasn’t sure how the other inhabitants would react to Osito at first.
“We don’t have any pups at our shelter.” “All of the dogs are large, and the majority of them are adults,” Arana told The Dodo. “I wasn’t sure how they’d react when they met Osito.”
The dog, who had been scared at the new environment at first, couldn’t have been more pleasantly received — and it made all the difference.
“At first, the sight of so many enormous dogs terrified Osito,” Arana explained. “[After meeting the other dogs], he felt at ease and confidently strolled about.”
The lonely dog immediately gained a slew of new pals. But it wasn’t long before he received something he needed much more.
Osito quickly found a place to call his own.
“[We] were able to find someone who ended up adopting him,” Arana explained. “Now that he has a family, I hope he lives a long and happy life.”
And, perhaps, the puppy’s new pals from the shelter will soon discover the same.
