The event took place on the 1200 block of Fenfield back in February 2019.
In a statement issued by the City of San Antonio Animal Care Services (ACS), it was revealed that an unidentified kind stranger had videotaped Frank Javier Fonseca, 56, repeatedly fist-punching his little rottweiler called Buddy and striking him with a piece of wood. He was also seen kicking him and strangling him in the footage. According to Fonseca’s statement to ACS, the dog was being punished for escaping the yard.
One of the worst sentences for animal cruelty ever recorded in Texas was 25 years in jail for Fonseca. His prior felony convictions for drug possession and retaliatory charges also contributed to the severity of his sentence.
Buddy currently resides with a new family after recovering from his injuries.

I think it’s awesome that he got jail time for beating his loving dog! How evil would someone have to be to hurt their own dog or any pet for that matter?!! Now I wish they’d start jailing people who hunt and kill for sport and not because they’re hungry!!!
