Sasha Vinogradova’s Digital Illustrations Depict Ornamental Insects Covered With Jewels

Sasha Vinogradova, a Los Angeles-based artist, combines her love of opulent design and nature in a collection of jewel-coated specimens. The digitally drawn insects have sculpture-like bodies that resemble brooches or other wearable works of art and are encased in metallic structures with gems and vivid, iridescent body parts. The wings and shells are decorated with symmetrical designs, which adds another level of embellishment to the otherwise natural subject matter.
