It’s reasonable to say that no one anticipates the mail truck’s arrival with as much anticipation as Frannie does. The small dog’s entire day is focused on it.
Frannie stands at the door every morning as she awaits the arrival of the white truck in her cul-de-sac. And as soon as she sees it, joy fills her entire body.
But Dan, her mailman, is the only person the 5-month-old longhaired Chihuahua is interested in; she doesn’t care about receiving letters.
Lisa Laskey, Frannie’s mother, told us, “It’s a true, emotional connection.” After we took her home, she immediately fell in love with him.

With her new dog in her arms, Laskey had gone outside to get the mail on that fateful day. Dan was stopped for a quick conversation, and she asked if he would want to hold Frannie.
According to Laskey, “He got out of his vehicle and made all these goofy expressions at her and let her kiss him. Since that time, it seems as though this must occur every day.
Dan has long been a fixture in the community; he is consistently on time and thorough in his work. Everyone in our area adores him, and he has always been the sweetest mailman ever, according to Laskey.
Laskey wasn’t overly surprised when her dog also fell in love with Dan right away, but she is still amazed by their endearing daily ritual.
“Frannie will simply watch from her tiny bed beside the entrance; she recognizes the white vehicle. Her small body begins to tremble as the vehicle approaches, and she will yap to alert me that he is there, according to Laskey. “I put on her leash and attempt to get my shoes to get ready for her. I’m going to place her on the driveway and just let her loose as soon as he approaches our mailbox. She sprints the length of the driveway till she encounters him. and he can’t stop laughing; this brightens his day.

Dan’s trips are usually eagerly anticipated by Frannie, thus his absence might be difficult for her.
Dan not only makes Frannie’s day better, but playing with the tiny puppy also makes Dan feel better when he’s on his route.
At this point, according to Laskey, “I think he’s happier to see her than she is to see him on certain days.” It has truly evolved into a great bond between the two of them.
