Now he’s waiting for a KEEPER 🥰
Cody has spent practically his whole life in the care of the RSPCA. The shelter workers worked tirelessly to locate him a new home, and they were overjoyed when they eventually succeeded. His adoptive family spent months visiting the shelter to get to know him and make him feel at ease. Everything was going swimmingly until the family’s circumstances changed.
“We were really devastated when Cody’s adoption fell through on the day he was supposed to be picked up,” said Sarah Welham, kennel supervisor at the RSPCA’s Martlesham Animal Centre, in a news statement.
Cody was all set to return home that day, but instead found himself back at square one, with no possibilities.
“Now Cody’s search for a new home resumes,” Welham added.
Cody exhibits certain hard habits, which may explain why he is sometimes neglected, such as being reactive to strangers, dogs, and some automobiles. He’s searching for a family who can support him as he continues his training and gains confidence.
“Cody is a fantastic little puppy who will thrive in the proper home,” Welham added. “He is afraid of strangers, but once he gets to know you, his genuine soppy side shines through!” He’s really loving and fun. He adores his toys and will frequently greet you with one in his mouth as his entire body wags in delight!”
Cody would want a calm house in a rural place away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Otherwise, he simply requires a family that will be patient with him while he adjusts to his new life. He may have his peculiarities, but he will be an excellent addition to a lucky family. He only wants someone to believe in him.
“Although we were disappointed that it fell through at the last minute, it provided us and Cody fantastic opportunity to meet new people, and it was amazing to see how he acclimated to the meetings and has given us great insight to start looking for another home for him,” Welham explained.
