Zhenya was perusing the internet one day when she came across a photo of a wild sable and quickly fell in love with it.
The sable, whose silky fur is some of the most sought after and expensive in the world, was the next in line to be slaughtered at a Russian fur farm.
Zhenya set out to save the adorable creature, telling us:
“Eventually, I discovered that there was a chance to purchase her from a fur farm.” She would have perished there if I hadn’t intervened to save the little fella.”
She named the Sabel Umora, and it wasn’t long until the two warmed up to one other and started living life to the fullest.
“Umora has a challenging personality. Living at the fur farm had a toll on her, so she’s highly emotional, sometimes even frantic.”
“Umora is also a really fun pet — she’s naughty and enjoys stealing things.” She’s quite energetic and intelligent.”
Zhenya worked very hard to retain her exotic pet, and she would even advise against keeping one as a pet.
“You have to go through a lot before you can start living with it comfortably,” she explained.
“You have to go through a lot before you can live comfortable with it,” she stated.
Sables are not commonly kept as pets and can be found in burrows and along riverbanks in deep woodland environments.
In the twilight hours, he is frequently seen seeking for prey. During their mating season, they can be spotted during the day.
