A Dog That Appeared To Have Turned To Stone Is Now Stunning

“He looked more like a statuary than a living creature.”

Grinch looked more like a carved piece of stone than a canine when he initially arrived at a shelter in South Texas. He had no hair, and his skin was gray and scabby.

The shelter workers recognized that he would require specialized care if he was to live, so they contacted Rescue Dogs Rock NYC for assistance.

Grinch was sent to a local veterinarian so that he could begin therapy for his skin issues and other ailments, as well as gain weight. Grinch reacted well to therapy, and he moved to the Northeast a month later to be placed in a foster home.

Grinch looked better when he arrived in December, but he was still suffering from his existence on the streets. “He was really bashful and afraid of everyone around him,” Semel stated. “He backed away from the other dogs.”

Grinch began to trust people while working with his foster mother, and his hair gradually came back. He began to feel more self-assured and, finally, fun.

“He’s flourished in his foster home, and he likes to play ball,” Semel added. “He has a lovely appearance and enjoys running and playing.”

Grinch has fully turned into a lovely, fluffy shepherd/Malinois mix, and his demeanor has altered in just five months after his rescue.

Grinch was just put with a new foster family in the hopes of adopting him and providing him with a loving home. “The foster family is very smitten with him,” Semel explained. “He’s a pretty nice dog.” He adores everyone.”

Grinch’s turnaround demonstrates that no matter how arduous the path ahead, every dog deserves a second chance. And, despite the fact that his moniker suggests otherwise, Grinch is the happiest boy.
