Unimaginable grief befell Steven Beltran and his family in Colombia last month.
Brownie, their beloved little dog, had vanished from their house, and as the days passed without seeing him, they began to believe he was lost for good.
Beltran told The Dodo, “There were days of looking, days when we didn’t sleep, days when we didn’t eat.” “We couldn’t stop thinking about Brownie.”
Brownie’s family begged for the public’s aid in finding him, but he was never discovered.
Then everything changed.
Brownie reappeared a week later, having found his way home on his own.
The moment Brownie squeezed in the front gate was filmed on security video at Beltran’s house, as was the family’s joy after learning that Brownie had returned safely.
It had been the purest of occasions:
“It’s unbelievable to have Brownie back,” Beltran remarked. “We’re overjoyed that he’s back.”
Brownie is overjoyed to be back in the loving arms of his family.
Brownie’s whereabouts throughout his absence are unknown, but he managed to return home safely. And his family’s reaction to that reality is the clearest indication of how much he is adored.
“Thank God he returned to our house by himself. He was thirsty and hungry, and he was a little exhausted “Beltran explained. “I can’t image what he went through in those seven days away from home. He’s now being spoilt.”
