A cat known as Cece has become an unexpected highlight for visitors to the Temple of Dendera, where she has made the ancient site her home.
Often seen moving between the temple’s towering columns or resting quietly along the stone walls, Cece appears largely undisturbed by the steady flow of tourists. Staff say she has been living at the site for years, gradually becoming a familiar sight to those who return.
She tends to stay in shaded areas, keeping cool against the ancient stone while observing her surroundings. Her calm and unhurried presence stands in contrast to the busy atmosphere around her.

For many visitors, encountering Cece adds a unique and memorable element to their experience — a small, living presence within a place defined by thousands of years of history.
