“We were stunned.”
Leona Klassen and her husband, Ron, were traveling down a snowy road in Canada last weekend when they came across a spectacle they will never forget.
Five beautiful lynx went out for a stroll in the winter scenery just off the road.
Just to get a closer look, the pair had to pull over.
Klassen told The Dodo, “We were startled.” “Neither of us had ever seen a lynx before, let alone five of them.”
As Klassen began snapping shots, the normally elusive wild cats looked unconcerned, their large, fluffy coats keeping them warm in the cool February air.
She described them as “peaceful and tranquil.” “They were aware of our presence yet seemed unconcerned.”
Klassen and her husband stood there watching as the lynx glided through the frozen terrain, getting a close look at their family’s dynamics.
“They all came to a halt when the mother did. And as she moved, the others moved with her “Klassen remarked. “The mother was magnificent, almost royal. My breath was taken away by her!”
The beautiful meeting came to an end not long after, as the wild cats crossed the road and went on their journey.
The lynx sighting was brief, but the lucky pair will remember it for the rest of their lives.
“It was certainly a once-in-a-lifetime experience that Ron and I will never forget!” Klassen remarked.
