Serenity may not appear to be like most dogs. She, on the other hand, has the enthusiasm and vigor of a frisky dog. She is unconcerned about what the rest of the world thinks of her because she is happy and is finally receiving the affection she deserves.
In San Antonio, Texas, the 4-year-old Siberian Husky was found as a stray. Her big tumor on her face made it impossible for her to get the loving home she deserved. So, to give her a second chance at life, Dallas Dog Rescue Rehab Reform moved her to Dallas, Texas.
Meet Serenity!
Serenity’s foster mother, Patti Dawson, could see from away that Serenity was a happy puppy. The dog approached her with kisses and expected pets in return. Dawson, on the other hand, has no idea how much longer Serenity has left in this world.
Serenity’s invasive tumor has taken away the bones in her face, according to the veterinarian. It proceeded above her eye sockets and into her skull, invading her nasal cavity. Fortunately, she is still able to see, breathe, and eat.
Some dog owners are concerned that Serenity is in pain, but Dawson claims that the pup has showed no signs of distress thus far. She is aware, though, that this could alter in the future.
“Just because we didn’t get the news we wanted doesn’t mean we won’t love her and give her the life she deserves,” Dawson added.
As a result, Dawson decided to make the rest of Serenity’s time exceptional. She has pampered her with great meals and plenty of opportunities to play. Serenity was even photographed by a professional photographer to encourage others to donate to her care.
Living Her Best Life
Serenity was photographed by Renee Dowhaniuk, an animal photographer. The pup quickly rose to fame after the rescue posted photos online. Serenity’s story piqued everyone’s curiosity, and they wanted to help in any way they could.
“I don’t think you should take a depressing photograph. “I believe you should photograph the animal’s full potential and do everything possible to capture the animal’s essence,” Dowhaniuk added. “That girl’s nose was working and the tail was wagging as soon as we got her out of Patti’s vehicle and set her down.”
Donations started pouring in like crazy soon after. Serenity got nearly 300 care packages filled with goodies. She’s now ecstatic every time she receives a delivery. She’ll be spoiled for the rest of her life, which is exactly what she deserves.
Dawson stated that she will say her goodbyes when Serenity informs her that it is time. However, for the time being, the rescue puppy will continue to live her best life in her loving foster family. Please see the rescue’s wish list if you’d like to help Serenity or any of the other dogs in their care.
