A gigantic tortoise caused a two-hour train delay that left passengers traveling from Norwich to Stanstead Airport perplexed and irate.
Clyde, a gigantic tortoise, had vanished on Sunday from the Swallow Aquatics Center in East Harling.
He appeared to have been hurt after being struck by a train when he was discovered on the railroad tracks.
The train was stopped owing to “animals on the railway,” according to a tweet from Greater Anglia, the railroad company.
The animal’s presence was verified by a Twitter user who shared a picture of it on the microblogging platform.
A professional team reportedly extracted the tortoise from the tracks and took him to a veterinarian, where he is anticipated to make a full recovery.
But because of Clyde’s two-hour delay, there were more delays all day long.
