After seeing what they thought was a lion lurking in a shrub near Mount National Park in Kenya, residents phoned the national wildlife department in concern.
Armed cops arrived on the scene to “mitigate a probable Human Wildlife Conflict case,” only to discover that the ‘lion’ was actually a Carrefour shopping bag with a lion’s face printed on it.

A local resident had placed the bag, which included plants, in the hedge.

Despite the false alarm, wildlife officials praised the residents for their alertness and quick response in a statement released on Twitter.
