“Everyone who saw him smiled.”
Beware, would-be criminals: a new drug-detection dog has arrived in town.
And, well, he’s teeny-tiny.
Passenger Agata Fornasa noticed a group of law enforcement agents the other day while travelling through an airport in Colombia. And they weren’t the only ones.
On that particular day, they were accompanied by a teeny-tiny contraband-sniffing Chihuahua who was very much on the job. (He wore the vest to prove it.)
“There was a tiny dog standing next to them who started sniffing all the baggage,” Fornasa told The Dodo. “The duty-free store ladies informed me his name was Chiqui and that he worked as a drug dog.” I thought it was lovely, so I videotaped it.”
Here’s a video showing Chiqui in action:

Does Chiqui tend to become sidetracked from time to time, smelling items that aren’t baggage? Sure. But he’s doing his best, okay?
It’s unknown if Chiqui apprehended any drug traffickers that day — or ever — but he sure drew plenty of admiring stares from the passengers.
“Everyone who saw him smiled,” Fornasa said, according to The Dodo. “He was completely absorbed in his task. So dashing.”
