A group of Ukrainian soldiers has a new recruit in the form of a friendly stray dog. The servicemen introduce their newest “recruit,” a puppy named Rambo, in a viral video. They decided to take Rambo in after finding him on the street. “We felt bad for him. “It was bitterly cold outside,” the soldiers explain on camera. “We accepted him into our post, and he remained with us.”
Rambo is a cute puppy who is dwarfed by the soldiers in their combat gear. Nonetheless, he commands a presence (as puppies do), which may explain why the troop refers to him as their “protector.” Rambo, according to the soldiers, serves as a watchdog who can detect the presence of a stranger.
Rambo’s hearing may be the only physical protection he can provide, but he is undoubtedly helping to keep their morale up as the fighting continues. The joy of a puppy certainly brightens up gloomy days.
Meet Rambo in the video below.
