Residents of a Chinese City are Terrified When the Sky turns Blood Red

On Saturday, the Chinese port city of Zhoushan, which is close to Shanghai, saw a strange blood red sky.

On Saturday night, terrified locals captured video of Zhoushan being enveloped by a deep scarlet cloud for hours, fueling worries of a blazing fire.

The phenomena was eventually discovered to be produced by a combination of low-hanging clouds and light refraction from neighboring fishing boats.
