“Sad night last night but today is a brighter day. The ewe (female sheep) on the left lambed a stillborn and we were unable to resuscitate it. She cried most of the night longing for her lamb after we removed it.
The ewe on the right lambed twins last week, though they were very small. It seems that today she has given one of her twins to the grieving mother to raise as her own. This is a photo of them together with their new children.”

Here is a follow up on the mom that lost her lamb and was given another from a mom of twins. The lamb follows her as if she was his natural mom and nurses from her. She is very caring and protective. With all the ups and downs here at BFF over the last few weeks seeing this makes it all worth while.

Outstanding. How great to see a farm that really cares for it’s animals, & the animals care for each other. Animals are sentient & they know love, care, joy? & all human emotions.
