“She does it every day.”
Life hasn’t been the same for José Paulo Da Silva and his wife since they rescued their dog Lola from the streets of Brazil two years ago. The couple’s routine nights are no longer the same.
In their stead, though, has come unfathomable enjoyment.
“Lola enjoys playing,” Silva told The Dodo. “She’s ruined a lot of things, but we adore her.”
Lola’s days may be full with play, but her desire for adventure does not fade as night falls.
Instead, when Lola detects that her parents are thinking about sleep, she takes matters into her own hands, practically taking over their bed and forcing them to play with her in order to reclaim it.
Silva stated, “She does it every day.”
Here’s a video of that endearing nightly routine:

Of course, these evening play sessions do not last forever. Neither would Lola want them to.
Because she is also excited about what comes next.
“She waits for us to sleep before putting our bed down,” Silva explained.
Living with an active puppy like Lola keeps Silva and his wife awake at night — but they wouldn’t have it any other way.
“She’s always up for a game,” Silva remarked. “I can’t think of a finer moment to be alive.”
