βHe fit in very well” π
If you can’t beat ’em, become one of ’em.
That was apparently the mantra of this adorable shaggy dog who was recently hauled in by Wisconsin police.
Tate, the dog, had been discovered wandering around the Wisconsin town of Chippewa Falls with no owner in sight. A concerned citizen called the cops, and Tate was soon “arrested” and taken back to the station.
This might be a stressful situation for your average rogue pup, but not for Tate. He kept his cool. And some more.
“He fit right in,” a Chippewa Falls Police spokesperson said.
While the police were looking for his owner, Tate chose to work at the station as a greeter.
He made himself available for any duty by hopping up to the visitor window.
βI thought it was so funny,β the spokesperson said.
Tate wasn’t given a badge, but he did get a lot of pets.
“We all enjoy having the dogs come by so we can give them water, treats, and, of course, back rubs!” said the spokesperson.
Despite Tate’s apparent eagerness to join the force, it was not to be. However, it is not all bad news.
“The dog was returned to his owner!” said the police spokesperson, perhaps with a twinge of nostalgia for their former coworker:
“Having him with us was fantastic.”
