The Suzuki Tobacco Shop in Tokyo, Japan, was well-known for more than its snack and cigarette offerings. People came from all around the world to meet the little store’s super-cute cashier. But this was no average shopboy; the kiosk was shared with a lovely Shiba Inu. Shiba-san, the hardworking dog, is famed for sliding open the store window to greet clients with a doggie smile. Shiba-san captured many people’s hearts over the years, but he’s now retired and taking a well-deserved break.
“We closed the Suzuki Tobacco store on October 30, 2015,” Azumy, the dog’s human and coworker, said. “Shiba-san has also retired.” Sorry for disappointing those of you who traveled so far to meet him.” Despite the tragic news, Shiba-sweetest san’s moments as a shiba shopdog are worth remembering. Countless guests uploaded films and photos from their visits to Suzuki, displaying Shiba-unexpected san’s professionalism. He enjoyed showing off the store’s collection of cucumbers as well as sliding open the window for each client, and he was always glad to accept pets and scratches. Shiba-san would slumber by the window while he wasn’t working until the next customer arrived.
