“She’d wrapped her dog up and brought him to me on her back” ❤️
Veterinarian Ogün ztürk was summoned to a tiny town in Turkey the other day to look to a client’s cow. He hadn’t intended to remain for long.
But what started off as a normal visit turned into something Ogün will never forget.
Ogün was preparing to leave the village after finishing the work he’d come for. However, something in the distance drew his attention first.
A small girl approached him, trekking down a snow-covered path. And she wasn’t the only one.
She had a puppy on her back.
Evidently, news had gotten around that a veterinarian was in town — and this created a chance that Cemre Su Türköz, an 8-year-old girl, would not pass up.
Pamuk, Cemre’s dog, had become unwell. She chose to bring Pamuk more than a mile from her home to the location where she’d heard Ogün would be, out of desperation.
“I was astonished and touched when I first saw them,” Ogün told The Dodo. “She had wrapped her puppy in a blanket and carried him to me on her back.”
Of course, Ogün was unable to stop Cemre and Pamuk. Ogün performed a checkup as the small girl watched, anxious.
Fortunately, the dog’s illness was not life-threatening. Pamuk, according to Ogün, just had minor skin problems that were bothering him but were readily remedied.
“Cemre was overjoyed when she learned that her puppy would be alright “”Says Ogün.” “Pamuk was treated with antiparasitic drugs that I administered externally. He’s back to his old self now, healthy and happy.”
The small girl and her dog had received assistance. They did, however, make a new acquaintance.
Ogün has returned to the hamlet to see how Cemre and Pamuk are doing, assuring that they would never have to risk the winter again to get any assistance he can give. Given the effort she’d put in to find him, it’s the least he could do.
“It made me extremely glad that an 8-year-old child acted in such a loving manner,” Ogün remarked.
Cemre was not charged for Ogün’s services that day. The finest recompense he could ask for was to see her love and loyalty to Pamuk.
“The fact that a child demonstrates this conduct at such an early age offers humanity hope,” Ogün remarked. “Despite all that is happening in the world, there is still reason to be hopeful. Cemre demonstrated that love is the only true truth in the world.”
