Man Builds Underground Survival Bunker That Can Withstand The End Of The World

In a world that can often seem uncertain, one man has taken preparation to the extreme. Larry Hall, a former government contractor, has created the ‘Survival Condo’ – an underground bunker capable of withstanding the end of the world. With its 15 floors of luxury living quarters, entertainment facilities, food stores, medical bay, and more, the Survival Condo is the ultimate in disaster preparedness.

The ‘Survival Condo’ is a luxury nuclear bunker designed to protect the mega-rich from a potential apocalypse. Most of the units have been sold to the 1% hoping for a getaway plan should doomsday happen. But some are still available, with prices starting at $500,000 and going up to $2.4 million for a full-floor unit

Located in Kansas, the Survival Condo is made out of an Atlas missile silo that was designed by the Army Corps of Engineers to survive a direct nuclear strike. The upper section of the silo is made of nine-foot-thick, epoxy-hardened concrete walls, and the dome structure that covers the top of the silo can withstand winds in excess of 500 mph.

Inside the bunker, residents can enjoy a swimming pool, climbing wall, arcade, cinema, and other entertainment facilities, all while being protected by camouflage gear, guns, and helmets in case they need to venture outside. The bunker can house up to 75 people, who could survive for more than five years inside.

The Survival Condo is not just a one-off creation, either. Following a surge in interest during the coronavirus pandemic, Hall has several more of these structures in development throughout the US, Europe, and Asia.

The benefits of the bunker are clear, as Hall himself has stated: “This project has the advantages of letting the members own a piece of history, the coolness of a missile base, the protection of a nuclear hardened bunker, and the features of a luxury condo.”

However, the price tag for such protection is not cheap. The cost of a spot in one of the silos ranges from $1.5 million (£1.2m) to $4.5 million (£3.6m). This means that only those with substantial wealth can afford to purchase a spot in the Survival Condo.

Now it is guarded by security and surrounded by CCTV cameras and armored trucks and boasts bulletproof doors and tunnels

While the Survival Condo may seem extreme to some, it serves as a reminder of the importance of disaster preparedness. While we may not be able to predict the future, we can take steps to protect ourselves and our loved ones in case of an emergency. From stockpiling food and water to creating an emergency kit, there are simple steps that everyone can take to prepare for the unexpected.

In the end, whether we choose to build an underground bunker or simply stock up on supplies, the key is to be prepared for whatever the future may hold. Because as Larry Hall knows all too well, when it comes to the end of the world, it’s always better to be safe than sorry.
