“At first I thought it was a mouse.”
For Reddit member Soulhacler, the day began like it does every day. He put on his headphones and started up his computer. Then he noticed something was off; there was a fuzzy object in his ear.
Overnight, a little animal had climbed into his headset and decided it would be the ideal spot to sleep.
Soulhacler failed to detect the animal since his headphones and the fur of the creature matched so perfectly.
According to Soulhacler, who spoke to The Dodo, “Its fur was incredibly silky and felt like a cat’s fur rubbing against your ear.” “When I initially saw, I believed it was a mouse since I truly had no idea what it could have been.”
The small creature was a bat, Soulhacler discovered when he looked at his headset.
Despite the fact that it is a contemporary workplace, Soulhacler remarked, “it must have entered through the ceiling in some way.” I discovered that since bats travel, it likely stopped for a break before entering the office building.
When it came to assisting his brand-new employee, Soulhacler was unexpectedly composed. He let the small bat naturally awaken and make a brief round of his desk before helping him into a cardboard box. The bat looked to be in good health, despite being a bit dehydrated.
Soulhacler said, “I also discovered that bats can’t immediately take off like birds. “It has to lift off from hanging downward in order to fly. To take flight, they must be at least 2 to 3 feet in the air, perched on a branch or tree.
The local bat conservation groups were contacted by Soulhacler and his coworkers until they located one that would accept the stray bat. Even if Soulhacler hadn’t intended to, the bat obviously made the appropriate headphones choice for his stopover.
